Day 6 : Cerro Terro

Embarking on a hike to Cerro Torre in El Chaltén promises an enchanting experience blending natural beauty and adventure. The trail starts in El Chaltén, and it's the first half of the hike to the base of Cerro Torre.

This trail is 1.6 miles one way, with a low difficulty level, usually complete in 3-4 hours round trip.

As you get on the trail, it leads through diverse landscapes, including forests, streams, and rocky paths. Mirador Maestri, a picturesque viewpoint, offers glimpses of surrounding mountains and valleys along the way.

Continuing the climb towards Cerro Torre, the iconic peak gradually reveals itself against the surrounding terrain. The trail offers opportunities to appreciate the rugged beauty of the Patagonian wilderness and the captivating views.

After reaching the Torre lookout you can find a peaceful spot to rest and enjoy a well-deserved break amidst nature. The descent retraces the path, allowing time for contemplation amidst the stunning surroundings.

You will have the opportunity to decide with your guide if you feel like continuing all the way to Cerro Torre (total 8 hours round trip, difficulty High) or return to enjoy your afternoon in town and relax.
