The second hike can be taken after a nice, restful lunch. Then, as we border Pehoé Lake, we can see our next destination: a stunning waterfall called Salto Grande.
Although it is an easy walk to the lookout, we would warn you that the cold and strong wind could play you a trick. For that reason, wear a warm coat, hat and waterproof pants so that nothing prevents you from enjoying this attraction.
Just two kilometers from the main road, the Salto Grande lookout will surprise you with its imposing water flow that comes from Lake Nordenskjöld. It also impacts the surrounding landscape, still marked by the ravages caused by 2011 fire. Burned trunks and eroded soil are the silent witnesses of a tragedy that killed thousands of green hectares. Still, the view is beautiful.
The trail to the Cuernos Viewpoint also known as Cuernos del Paine trail, that offers a short and easy walk surrounded by some of the most impressive landscapes of Chilean Patagonia, with views especially of Lake Nordenskjöld, Valle del Francés, and Cordillera del Paine. The trail is fairly flat and doesn't gain much elevation but is truly spectacular!
